Opting to bowl after winning the toss, South Africa’s decision proved strategic as they restricted India to a modest first-inning total of 245. KL Rahul’s magnificent century, scoring 101, was a standout performance, but he lacked support as no other Indian batsman crossed the 50-run mark.
